Ghost Trader vs Stand (2026): Trading Terminal vs Automated Runner for Polymarket

Stand and Ghost Trader compared: a professional Polymarket trading terminal with copy and counter-trading vs a self-custody automated runner. Fees, custody, automation and who each suits, from Stand's own FAQ, October 2026.

Stand and Ghost Trader both help you copy Polymarket traders, but they're different kinds of product. Stand is a trading terminal, a fast interface for an active trader, with copy trading and automation built in. Ghost Trader is an automated runner that trades by rules while you're away, with a dashboard to watch it. Stand details below come from Stand's FAQ as read on October 8, 2026. We make Ghost Trader.

Different jobs

Stand suits traders who sit in front of the screen: watching feeds, reacting to whales, clicking to trade, and setting up copy or counter trades from the same interface. It was featured in Polymarket's own newsletter (Copytrade Wars).

Ghost Trader suits traders who want rules to run unattended: pick wallets and thresholds, size with fractional Kelly, enforce a daily-loss kill switch, and get Telegram alerts instead of watching a terminal.

Fees

Stand charges per copy trade, including redeems. Ghost Trader charges a flat monthly fee. Counting every copy-trade buy, sell and redeem, Stand's 0.50% equals Ghost Trader's $199 at about $39,800 of monthly copy-trade volume (our arithmetic). Below that, Stand costs less. Above it, Ghost Trader does. Polymarket's own trading fees apply either way (fees guide).

Custody

Both are non-custodial, but in different ways. Stand uses Privy's TEE-based wallets, and its FAQ says Stand has no direct access to your keys. Ghost Trader keeps the key in a config file on your own machine, and its runner signs locally. Stand's model needs no infrastructure from you. Ghost Trader's needs you to run and secure a machine. Our security guide explains what to ask either way.

Where Stand is stronger

  • Discovery and speed of manual trading: feeds, whale alerts, a terminal interface.
  • Counter-trading as well as copy trading.
  • Hyperliquid in the same app.
  • No monthly fee and no setup.
  • Published audits.

Where Ghost Trader is stronger

  • Unattended, rules-based automation with fractional-Kelly sizing and hard stops.
  • No per-trade fee, better at higher volume.
  • Crypto up/down engine (how those markets work).
  • Paper mode before going live.

Who should choose which

  • Choose Stand if you trade actively, want a professional interface with discovery tools, and prefer per-trade pricing.
  • Choose Ghost Trader if you want a bot that follows your rules 24/7, signing on your own machine, with paper testing first.

FAQ

Is Ghost Trader a Stand alternative? For automated copy trading on Polymarket, yes. For a full trading terminal with feeds and manual trading, Stand does a different job.

Does Stand charge fees? Its FAQ lists a 0.50% fee on copy-trade buys, sells and redeems, and 0.10% on Hyperliquid trades.

Can I use both? Yes. Use separate wallets so automated and manual trades don't overlap.

Ghost Trader: rules-based copy trading and crypto signals with fractional-Kelly sizing, a daily-loss kill switch and Telegram alerts, signed on your own machine. $199/month, no per-trade fee, paper mode included. See pricing.
